Together, we can make a difference in the fight against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Kajiado, Kenya. As part of our FGM Awareness and Sensitization Project, we are committed to raising awareness, educating communities, and empowering individuals to take action against this harmful practice.
Key Objectives of Our Project
Raise Awareness: Through community outreach, workshops, and media campaigns, we aim to increase public understanding of the physical and psychological impacts of FGM.
- Educate and Empower: We work closely with community leaders, parents, and young girls to provide education on the health risks of FGM and advocate for the rights of girls and women.
- Support Survivors: We offer support services, including counseling and healthcare, to survivors of FGM, helping them heal and rebuild their lives.
- Promote Alternative Rites: Encouraging the adoption of culturally sensitive, alternative rites of passage that do not involve FGM but preserve tradition and community values.
